On Feb 26, former congressmen Mike Capuano (D-Mass.) and John Faso (R-N.Y.) joined Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø students in the Golden Auditorium for an honest dialogue about their careers on Capitol Hill and their stances on several key issues.

A new Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø student group is performing Disney-themed virtual concerts for children in hospitals across the country.

The Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø Vote Project (CVP) brought former congressmen Peter Smith (R-Vt.) and William Enyard (D-Ill.) together on Feb. 8 for a discussion that ranged from campaigning and partisanship to voter suppression and term limits.

Historically, young adults have the lowest rate of voter turnout of all groups. In 2016, only 48% of Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø students voted. The Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø Vote Project — a student volunteer organization — hopes to change that.

With a keynote event in Memorial Chapel on January 30, Black Lives Matter co-founder Opal Tometi helped Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø close its 10-day commemoration of Martin Luther King Jr.

As a child, Hannah Spotts ’20, absolutely loved reading. Now, she shares her enthusiasm for the written word with local students as a Liberty Kids volunteer.

Following annual tradition, the Max A. Shacknai Center for Volunteerism, Outreach, and Education (COVE) organized a 9/11 Afternoon of Service. On Friday, Sept. 6, more than 70 student volunteers worked with eight nonprofits in Hamilton and neighboring towns to help local farms, promote environmental conservation, maintain trails, and preserve the Chenango Canal among other activities.

In May, Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø community members traveled to Puerto Rico for a week devoted to hurricane relief. The group performed service work at Plenitud, a non-profit educational farm and learning center located in the mountains of western Puerto Rico near a town called Las Marias.
