Daniel Benton ’80, P’10, H’10 has secured his place as Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø’s most generous benefactor, making a $25 million gift in support of the University’s Middle Campus Plan for Arts, Creativity, and Innovation and other elements within The Third-Century Plan.

The Picker Interdisciplinary Science Institute has announced this year’s awards supporting interdisciplinary approaches in innovative research.

On Feb. 12, Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø celebrated the opening of the Clifford Gallery’s new exhibition from Franco-American artist Suzanne Husky, titled For Alliances with the Beaver People. The exhibition features a singular physical work: an 11-meter-long embroidered tapestry that traces key moments in beaver-human relationships.

This spring, the Longyear Museum of Anthropology is showcasing the student-curated exhibition Unraveled: Labor and Meaning Behind Weaving. Created by 10 students in the fall 2024 MUSE 300: Museum Curating class, the exhibition brings together an incredible range of textiles, baskets, and fiber art from around the world, showcasing the craftsmanship, beauty, and cultural significance of woven works.
